Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wrath Ofthegods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kauko Velaskuez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velaskuez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ofthegods pinned against the cage. Ofthegods gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ofthegods throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Velaskuez's waist but Velaskuez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ofthegods off to one side.
Velaskuez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Velaskuez has a takedown stuffed.
Wrath Ofthegods has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kauko Velaskuez.
Velaskuez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ofthegods tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Velaskuez is in Ofthegods's guard.
Velaskuez is working Ofthegods over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ofthegods is on top in guard.

Velaskuez wants to stand and escape but Ofthegods is having none of it.

Ofthegods postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Velaskuez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ofthegods, into his guard.
Velaskuez is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Velaskuez slips nicely into half guard.
Ofthegods is looking for a sweep. Velaskuez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ofthegods taking some punishment here, with Velaskuez in his half guard.
Velaskuez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Velaskuez winds up and cracks Ofthegods with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ofthegods manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ofthegods is looking for a triangle but Velaskuez pushes his legs off easily.
Velaskuez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ofthegods had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Velaskuez defends it easily.
Velaskuez stands up and waves to Ofthegods to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

and Velaskuez counters with a takedown into side control.
Ofthegods is breathing heavily.
Velaskuez landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Velaskuez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Ofthegods is working to avoid the ground and pound but Velaskuez connects with a decent elbow.
Ofthegods is rocked!
Velaskuez advances to mount.
Oh Ofthegods is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Velaskuez loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ofthegods scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Velaskuez land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Velaskuez stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kauko Velaskuez!
