Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karamba Labrador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ville Vinguttaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karamba Labrador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ville Vinguttaja!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Labrador instigates a clinch.

Labrador decides to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Vinguttaja is looking to work some ground and pound but Labrador has wrist control.

Vinguttaja gets to his feet - Labrador follows without any prompting.
Labrador throws a shot from downtown. Vinguttaja moves away and avoids it.
Good work by Vinguttaja as he checks the leg kick.

Vinguttaja clinches up with Labrador and pushes him back against the cage.

Labrador ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Labrador no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Labrador is working an open guard so Vinguttaja takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Labrador decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Vinguttaja gets back to full guard.

Vinguttaja escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Labrador gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Labrador wants to control from the top but Vinguttaja keeps moving.
Labrador knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vinguttaja on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ville Vinguttaja was stalling too much, according to the referee.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vinguttaja looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Labrador will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Labrador fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vinguttaja should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Labrador has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vinguttaja uses from the top position.

Vinguttaja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Labrador sprawls well. Labrador wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vinguttaja gets slowly back to his feet.

and Vinguttaja counters with a series of strikes. Labrador will be more careful next time no doubt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Labrador is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Karamba Labrador just wasn't active enough.

That was a close round but I would say that Karamba Labrador will probably get the nod.

Labrador stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Labrador wants it to stay on the feet.

and Vinguttaja counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vinguttaja is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Labrador tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vinguttaja stuffs the takedown attempt from Labrador. Labrador gets slowly back to his feet.

Labrador closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vinguttaja's guard.
Vinguttaja is trying to control the position but Labrador postures up.
Vinguttaja manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Labrador manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Labrador is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vinguttaja defends well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Labrador seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vinguttaja for as long as he can get away with.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Labrador feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vinguttaja is trying desperately to land a takedown but Labrador is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Vinguttaja.

Vinguttaja pulls Labrador in close to his closed guard and prevents Labrador from doing any damage or advancing position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vinguttaja throws a nice looking combination but Labrador bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Vinguttaja tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Labrador manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Labrador shoots in for a takedown but Vinguttaja shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Labrador changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vinguttaja tries to avoid it but Labrador manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vinguttaja to the ground. Vinguttaja escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Labrador closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vinguttaja circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vinguttaja dives in and grabs Labrador's left leg, looking for a takedown. Labrador pushes down on Vinguttaja's head and hops out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Labrador throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ville Vinguttaja has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Karamba Labrador is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vinguttaja takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Karamba Labrador showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Labrador has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
