Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ted Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Delon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delon has chosen No, You Don't by Nine Inch Nails as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ted Stinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Delon!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delon tries to clinch but Stinson moves out of range.
Stinson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stinson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Delon pushes Stinson up against the cage in a clinch.

Delon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stinson can't fight it off and eventually Delon manages to take the fight to the floor. Stinson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Stinson is looking for a triangle but Delon pushes his legs off easily.

Stinson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Delon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stinson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Delon's back instead.

Delon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Despite being in a bad position, Delon is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.
Stinson is not going to allow Delon to sit and survive in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stinson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Delon controls the pace.

Delon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Stinson is looking for a triangle here but Delon uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The referee asks Delon politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Delon prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stinson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Delon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Let's hope that Delon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jim Delon just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Delon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Delon throws a leg kick which misses Stinson's front leg but catches the back leg as Stinson tries to avoid it.

Stinson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Delon knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Delon for a finish.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Stinson is trying to stick to Delon's back but Delon is turning into Stinson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Stinson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Delon.

Stinson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Delon is one step ahead there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stinson is on top in guard.
Delon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Stinson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Delon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stinson.
Stinson wants to free his trapped foot but Delon is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Delon is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Delon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stinson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well Delon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
