Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Gat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aang Avatar!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avatar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Avatar somewhat.
Gat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gat shoots in but no luck this time.
Gat misses the shot to the body.
Gat misses with a takedown attempt - Avatar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Gat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Avatar shoots in for a takedown but Gat shows good takedown defense.

Gat pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Avatar feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gat's calf.

Gat gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Avatar to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Avatar stands and steps away. Gat gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Avatar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gat jumps guard but Avatar stands there with Gat around his waist. Gat gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Avatar has Gat pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Avatar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gat tumbling to the mat - Avatar dives into Gat's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gat throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gat is looking for a triangle but Avatar pushes his legs off easily.

Avatar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gat manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Avatar or perhaps it was just good defense by Gat which made him look bad.
Avatar tries to clinch but Gat is having none of it.

Gat shoots for a double leg takedown but Avatar sprawls well. He's pushed Gat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Avatar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gat swivels and escapes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gat.
Gat throws a head kick but Avatar moves out of range.
Gat leaves Avatar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gat looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Avatar is fending him off so far but Gat persists. Nope, Avatar circles away and we're back to standing.

Avatar shoots in looking for a takedown. Gat tries to sprawl out of it but Avatar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gat manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Avatar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Avatar is looking to take a break and control but Gat is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aang Avatar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Gat escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Avatar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Avatar tries to pull guard but Gat won't allow it.

Avatar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Avatar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Avatar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Avatar trying to control but Gat is having none of it.

Avatar stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Johnny Gat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Aang Avatar is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
