Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Slugger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Gerrard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Slugger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Gerrard!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slugger clinches with his opponent.
Gerrard is trying to pull guard but Slugger has him pressed against the cage.
Gerrard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slugger to keep the fight standing.
Slugger is trying to force a seperation but Gerrard has the dominant position.
Gerrard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slugger smiles and moves away.
Joe Slugger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Gerrard.
Gerrard misses with a takedown attempt

and Slugger counters with a crisp one two that drops Gerrard! Slugger thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gerrard to his feet! Gerrard is in big trouble!


Gerrard is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Slugger rushes Gerrard and presses him up against the cage.
Gerrard is still on wobbly legs! Can Slugger finish him?
Gerrard tries to pull guard but Slugger won't allow it.
Slugger is pushing Gerrard up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Gerrard on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gerrard seems to have recovered his senses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slugger working hard to break the clinch.
Slugger is trying to break the clinch but Gerrard has him pressed against the cage.
Gerrard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slugger to keep the fight standing.
Slugger has had enough of the clinch but Gerrard keeps him there for the moment.

Gerrard tries to pull guard but Slugger holds him up against the cage and eventually Gerrard drops back down to his feet.
Slugger wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gerrard fails to pull guard.
Still in the clinch, Slugger scores with a nice short uppercut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Slugger.
Gerrard keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Slugger's efforts to push away.
Slugger looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slugger tries a body shot but Gerrard blocks it.
Gerrard prevents Slugger from breaking the clinch.
Gerrard tries to pull guard but Slugger won't allow it.
Slugger can't find room to land a body shot as Gerrard controls the action.

Slugger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Slugger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gerrard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Slugger slaps away a takedown attempt from Gerrard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A punch combination from Slugger misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slugger lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slugger.
Gerrard walks into a stiff left hand from Slugger.
Slugger swings away with a leg kick that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Slugger lands a big uppercut and Gerrard crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gerrard looks OK. Slugger waves Gerrard back to his feet!
Slugger misses with a jab, cross combination.

Slugger moves into the clinch successfully.
Gerrard is trying to pull guard but Slugger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gerrard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slugger smiles and moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gerrard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Slugger gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Slugger dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Slugger fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Slugger connects with the punch.
Slugger is pawing at Gerrard, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Gerrard's nose. Gerrard is badly hurt! Slugger pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Gerrard tries desperately to hold on but Slugger is relentless in his assault! As Gerrard receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Slugger away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Slugger!
After winning the bout, Joe Slugger thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
