Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Bravery - time won't let me go. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kron Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Long.
Gracie paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Long misses with a series of wild punches.
Long throws a leg kick but Gracie sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Gracie lunges at Long with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Long's hand.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gracie checks a leg kick.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Long. Those never looked like landing.
Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Long is defending well.
Gracie throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie swings around for an armbar but Long sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Long from controlling successfully.
Long distracts Gracie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Long has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Long accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gracie keeping full guard, as Long tries to pass.
Gracie has his foot on Long's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Long works his way back into a safe position though.
Long throws an elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Long's guard. Nice move by Gracie!
Long looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.

Long controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Long is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie postures up in Long's guard and throws a big left but Long blocks it.
Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from Long.
Gracie is pushing down on Long's leg trying to pass to half guard. Long is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Long is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Long defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Long is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!
