Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Masters!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Lee.
Masters jabs Lee right on the nose. Lee blinks but takes it well.
A nice leg kick lands there from Masters.
Lee with a nice cross.
Lee moves out of range of the body kick.
Masters misses with a head kick.
Masters works the jab nicely.

Lee feints and as Masters raises his hands in defense, Lee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masters is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Masters pulls Lee in to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Masters dives on top into guard.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Masters from controlling successfully.

Lee is looking for a triangle but Masters pushes his legs off easily.

Lee looking for a guillotine here but Masters defends easily.
Masters stays in close to Lee's body and controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lee is thwarting Masters's attempts to control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lee is working for a kimura but Masters is defending it quite comfortably.
Masters is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Masters avoid being mounted?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Masters is trying to get back to full guard.
Masters manages to get to full guard.
Masters working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee throws a big elbow that misses.
Masters wants to stand and escape but Lee is having none of it.

Masters wants to hit a switch here but Lee passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Masters there!

Lee has control of Masters's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Masters regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Masters wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lee scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Masters lands a jab to the nose.
Bruce Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Masters connects with a crisp jab.


It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut.
Lee takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lee swinging wildly here.
A head kick misses from Masters.
Masters pushes Lee away with a front kick.
Masters has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Masters throws a wild body kick that Lee sees coming a mile off.
Masters throws a head kick that half lands.
Masters throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
Lee avoids the head kick by Masters.

Lee scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lee is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Masters sees it coming and defends easily.
Masters trying to hold on to Lee's head to control him but Lee postures up.

Masters is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lee is staying active.

Lee seems to be working for a kimura but Masters defends the submission attempt.
Lee is looking to advance position but Masters won't allow it.

Lee is looking for a kimura but Masters is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lee to get the leverage.

Lee prevents Masters from improving his position.

A close second round but Chris Masters will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Bruce Lee's cut.
That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Masters connects with a leg kick. Lee looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Masters throws the left hand but Lee avoids the punch easily.
Masters misses with a body kick.
Masters connects with an inside leg kick.
Masters throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lee's head.
Lee blocks a head kick by Masters.
Lee gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Masters scores with a head kick.
Chris Masters seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Masters misses with a hook

and Lee moves into the clinch.
Lee tries to pull guard but Masters holds him up against the cage and eventually Lee drops back down to his feet.
A head punch on the inside from Masters fails to land.
Lee tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Masters just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Masters walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lee closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Masters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Masters can pounce on him.
Lee on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Masters. Masters obviously looking to wear him down.
Masters lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masters throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Masters lands a high kick!


Bruce Lee's cut is getting worse.
Masters swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Masters. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Masters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lee slips a jab from Masters.
Masters lands a head shot.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Masters pushes him off.
Masters looks to land a body kick but Lee moved away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Masters connects with a high kick.
Masters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee blocks a head kick by Masters.
Masters lands a head kick!
Masters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Masters lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Masters has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Masters there as he acknowledges the shot.
Masters throws the kick towards the body but Lee avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Masters misses with a low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Masters. No joy for Lee on that attempt.
Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Masters circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Masters tries a head kick but it misses.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Masters shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nice body kick from Masters.
Masters lands a head kick!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Masters as he avoids it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris Masters comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Masters has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
