Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Florian Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayer has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Simon Jackson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer lunges at Jackson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jackson's hand.
Mayer dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Mayer's head and hops out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mayer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson works over Mayer with some ground and pound from guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mayer is on top in guard.
