The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pacquiao gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pacquiao is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lagutin wants a takedown but no success here.

Lagutin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lagutin manages to end up in side control.
Pacquiao is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pacquiao is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lagutin asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Pacquiao is trying to control Lagutin's posture but Lagutin avoids it.

Lagutin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pacquiao can't do much from the bottom here.
Pacquiao is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lagutin off and has taken his back!
Lagutin turns into Pacquiao and is now in his guard.

Lagutin drops back looking for a leg! Pacquiao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pacquiao manages to kick Lagutin off! Lagutin jumps back into Pacquiao's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lagutin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lagutin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lagutin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pacquiao is keeping the position for now.

Lagutin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pacquiao is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pacquiao has escaped and now he's on top!

Pacquiao stands and steps away. Lagutin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pacquiao closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lagutin quickly recovers to half guard.
