The crowd seem to be enjoying Splinter's choice of entrance music: Ninja Tutles theme song by THROWDOWN. Master Splinter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Splinter lands an overhand right.

Janowicz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Splinter!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Janowicz looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Janowicz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Splinter really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Splinter tries to reverse the position but Janowicz maintains control.
Splinter wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Janowicz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Splinter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Splinter shrugs it off.

Janowicz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Splinter manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Splinter is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Janowicz is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Splinter seems a little lost for a moment, as Janowicz dominates the positioning.

Janowicz has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Splinter is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Janowicz yanks on the arm and Splinter is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Janowicz.
