Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jon Waters!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larson lands with a slapping head kick.
Waters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Waters blocks a head kick by Larson.

Waters gets a double leg takedown into Larson's guard.
Larson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Waters is controlling him.

Waters postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Larson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Waters, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Waters has control of Larson's left arm, preventing Larson from doing any damage.

Waters wants to get back to his feet but Larson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Waters wriggles free and stands up.
Jon Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Larson enables Waters to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Larson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Larson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Larson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Waters trying to control but Larson is working from the bottom.
Waters throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Larson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Waters is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Larson manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Larson moves into range and clinches up with Waters.

Larson is breathing heavily.

Waters gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Waters looks to land a strike but Larson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Waters passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Waters is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Larson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Larson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Waters is trying to get an arm triangle but Larson is defending well.
Waters tries to advance to mount but Larson denies him.
Larson is not content to let Waters control the position.

Waters looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Waters wants to control but Larson is keeping him busy.
Larson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Waters asserts his dominance and retains side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Waters goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Larson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Waters's guard! Nice work there by Larson!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Waters shoots in and bounces Larson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Waters wants to control from the top but Larson keeps moving.

Waters drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Larson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Waters has Larson in his guard.

Larson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Waters is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Waters has escaped and now he's on top!

Waters drops back, looking for a kneebar! Larson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Larson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Larson!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Larson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Waters is trying to escape and Larson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Waters is forced to tap! Nice work there by Larson! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wolfe Larson!
