The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klyzneir fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Danilison, pushing him back against the cage.
Klyzneir trying to land knees to the body.
Danilison has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Klyzneir is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Klyzneir misses with a knee strike.
Danilison wants a takedown.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Klyzneir takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Danilison avoids the elbow strike from Klyzneir, against the cage.

John Klyzneir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benji Danilison.

Danilison will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Klyzneir up against the cage.

Danilison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
John Klyzneir is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Danilison counters with a single leg into guard. Klyzneir didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Danilison controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Klyzneir has momentary wrist control but Danilison slips an elbow through the middle.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Danilison's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Danilison is looking to work some ground and pound but Klyzneir has wrist control.
Danilison postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Danilison has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Danilison working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Klyzneir's head.
Danilison works over Klyzneir with some ground and pound from guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Danilison cracks Klyzneir with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Danilison slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Danilison lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Klyzneir down.

Klyzneir takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Klyzneir really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Danilison is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Danilison's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Klyzneir throws a hook but Danilison avoids it easily.
Klyzneir tries to clinch but Danilison moves out of range.
Klyzneir moves out of range of the body kick.
Klyzneir misses with a looping left.
Danilison scores with a punch to the head.
Klyzneir misses with a series of wild punches.
Danilison ducks under a wild hook from Klyzneir.
Klyzneir closes the distance but Danilison moves to the side

and Danilison decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klyzneir's guard.
Danilison is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Danilison not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Danilison seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Danilison is pushing down on Klyzneir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Klyzneir is fighting to maintain full guard but Danilison has managed to sneak the leg through.

Danilison has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Klyzneir defend it? Danilison steps over the head and cranks it - Klyzneir is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Danilison!
