Bruens comes into a darkened arena with his song building. River Below kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruens checks a low kick from Stevens.
Stevens throws a hook but Bruens blocks it.
Bruens checks the leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bruens.
Stevens moves out of range of the body kick.
Stevens looks to score with a jab to the body but Bruens is just out of range.
Stevens misses with a head kick.
Bruens cracks Stevens with an open hand slap.
Bruens moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bruens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stevens swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bruens is defended easily by Stevens.

and Stevens counters with a nice body shot.
Stevens scores with a jab to the body.

Bruens shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bruens has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stevens's face.
Stevens keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bruens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stevens defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bruens.

Bruens cracks Stevens with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bruens prevents Stevens from getting the reversal.
Stevens is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bruens trying to control but Stevens is having none of it.

Bruens postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Stevens bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Bruens and the fight is over!
