Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Virtua Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank The Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hank The Tank!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Tank avoids the head kick by Fish.
Virtua Fish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fish throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

The Tank gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Fish really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fish misses with a knee strike.
Fish tries to break the clinch but The Tank is controlling the position.
Fish tries to land knees in the clinch but The Tank avoids the damage to the body.
Fish misses with a knee to the head.
The Tank is trying to break the clinch but Fish has him pressed against the cage.
The Tank is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fish landing knees to the body.
Fish lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Hank The Tank has been cut.
Fish is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but The Tank is keeping busy.
The is referee keeping an eye on The Tank - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Fish keeps control of The Tank as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The Tank wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fish stops a takedown attempt from The Tank.
The Tank tries to land knees in the clinch but Fish avoids the damage to the body.
The Tank is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fish gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The Tank prevents Fish from breaking the clinch.

The Tank gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

The Tank decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fish, up you get!
The Tank looks gassed!

The Tank scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fish is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, The Tank asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The Tank decides to stand back up.

Fish wants to clinch

and The Tank counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fish wants to get back to full guard.
The Tank lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fish is looking to escape.
The Tank is nestled in close to Fish, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fish won't allow The Tank to pass to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The Tank postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Fish to stand up.
Fish throws a head kick that misses.
Fish gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fish fails in his attempt to clinch.

The Tank has closed the distance and engaged Fish in a clinch.
Fish wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fish tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

The Tank breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A combination from The Tank does no damage.
Fish tries to clinch but fails miserably

and The Tank counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fish!
Fish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Tank on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fish is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The Tank unloading with bombs!
The Tank takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fish wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Fish that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The Tank lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The Tank landing strikes from the mount.
The Tank postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fish looks a forlorn figure.
The Tank misses with a head shot.
Fish wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by The Tank.
The Tank sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fish is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The Tank unloads with some shots from mount but Fish bucks and avoids them well.
The Tank dominating with strikes here.
The Tank with shots to the head and body - Fish looks very uncomfortable down there.

The Tank is working for a guillotine from mount but Fish frees his head quite easily.
The Tank wants to control the pace but Fish is squirming around nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The Tank raining down shots from the mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank The Tank dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hank The Tank's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fish is letting The Tank control him for a moment.

The Tank decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fish to his feet.
The Tank looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The Tank swinging wilding here.
The Tank misses with a wild combination.
Fish clinches but The Tank breaks the clinch

and The Tank counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The Tank stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fish to get to his feet.
Fish throws a head kick that half lands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Tank misses with a two punch combination.
The Tank sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Fish wants to clinch but The Tank slips to the side

and The Tank holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The Tank misses with a knee to the head.
The Tank wants to get back to striking at distance but Fish won't allow it.
Fish landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Fish connects with a nasty looking knee right to The Tank's face.
Fish using the Thai plumb to throw knees but The Tank has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fish blocks an elbow strike.
Fish throws a knee to the head but misses.
Fish tries to land knees in the clinch but The Tank avoids the damage to the body.

The Tank breaks from the clinch.
The Tank bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

The Tank takes the fight into the clinch.

The Tank has Fish pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. The Tank pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fish tumbling to the mat - The Tank dives into Fish's guard.
The Tank trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fish's guard.
Fish will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Tank accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The Tank gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The Tank misses with a wild combination.
The Tank throws a shot to the body.
The Tank lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fish closes the distance looking to clinch

and The Tank counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The Tank lands with a punch from half guard.
The Tank seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The Tank stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fish to get to his feet.

The Tank closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The Tank in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Fish is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
