The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanagan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kjeldsson's hands.
Kjeldsson stalks Flanagan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Flanagan's face. Flanagan staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Paddy Flanagan has been cut.

Flanagan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kjeldsson is refusing to be controlled, as Flanagan sits in half guard.
Flanagan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kjeldsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Flanagan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Kjeldsson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kjeldsson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flanagan's guard.
