Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Weeks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weeks comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Marco Todd enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weeks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Todd with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Weeks takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Weeks throws a jab but it's blocked by Todd.
Marco Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weeks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Todd paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Todd connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Weeks wants to slow Todd down by chopping away at his legs.

Weeks manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Todd on his heels. He'll look to pass Todd's guard now, I'm sure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Todd is pulling down on Weeks's head. It's preventing any offense from Weeks, at least for the moment.

Weeks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Todd is just riding it out for now. Weeks eventually gives up the hold.

Weeks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Weeks misses with a head shot. Todd uses the momentum to regain guard.

Weeks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Todd swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Weeks throws an elbow that misses. Todd uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Weeks's guard. Nice move by Todd!

Weeks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Todd is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Weeks.
Weeks is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Weeks tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Todd presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Todd stands up from mount. Strange move.

Weeks clinches with his opponent.
Todd misses with the head strike.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Todd throws a head punch that misses.
Weeks swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Weeks can't find room to land a body shot as Todd controls the action.

Weeks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Todd misses with a jab, cross combination.
Todd jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Marco Todd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Todd on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Weeks. Weeks obviously looking to wear him down.
Todd ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Weeks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Weeks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

It looks like Marco Todd has been cut.

Weeks is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Todd can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big strike lands for Weeks! That's really hurt Todd and he's turned his back - Weeks keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Weeks jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
