PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renee Mondeux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Piltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mondeux comes to the ring accompanied by Ronnie McCoury-Cajun Man. Piltz has chosen I'm too Sexy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mondeux shoots for a double leg takedown but Piltz sprawls well. He's pushed Mondeux's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mondeux changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Piltz tries to avoid it but Mondeux manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Piltz to the ground. Piltz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mondeux dives in and grabs Piltz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Piltz pushes down on Mondeux's head and hops out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mondeux has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Piltz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Piltz has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mondeux regains guard immediately.

Mondeux has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Piltz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mark Piltz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
