Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Binky Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Burn This City. Costa has chosen 26 Bass by Roni Size as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa blocks a head kick by Barnes.

Barnes swings for the body but Costa moves out of range.
Costa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Binky Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes scores with the left hand. Costa knows he should have avoided that one.
Barnes swats away the attempt to clinch by Costa.
Barnes throws an overhand right that lands on Costa's shoulder, as Costa tries to avoid the shot.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Costa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barnes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Costa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Barnes. Oh but Costa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Barnes goes limp - he's gone! Costa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
