The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ericsen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ericsen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dominion's face.

Ericsen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ericsen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shawn Ericsen.

Dominion gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ericsen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Dominion had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ericsen defends it easily.

Ericsen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dominion has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ericsen has managed to get both his arms back between Dominion's legs - danger averted.

Ericsen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dominion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ericsen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dominion working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ericsen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ericsen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dominion looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ericsen has picked Dominion up and slammed him! Dominion can't keep hold of the triangle and Ericsen manages to pass to side control!
