Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maraco Draco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helmut Doerner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doerner has chosen Balls to the Wall by Accept as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maraco Draco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Helmut Doerner!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draco misses with a body shot.
Draco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Doerner fails with the takedown.
Doerner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Draco.
Draco tries to score with a low kick but Doerner moves his leg out of the way.
Nice takedown defense from Draco. No joy for Doerner on that attempt.
Doerner checks the leg kick nicely there.
Doerner lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Draco at a distance.
Doerner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doerner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Draco.

Maraco Draco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helmut Doerner.
Doerner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Draco but Draco pushes him off and we're back to square one.

so Draco counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Draco is looking to work some ground and pound but Doerner has wrist control.

Draco is in close to Doerner's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Doerner wants to stand and escape but Draco is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Draco postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Doerner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Draco, into his guard.
Draco is trying to keep Doerner in close.

Draco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doerner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doerner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Doerner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Draco wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Draco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Draco tries to get out of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Draco is looking for a sweep.
Doerner landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Doerner scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Draco to see if he's OK.

Doerner decides to stand back up. Doerner steps back and let's Draco get back to his feet.
Draco throws a leg kick but Doerner moved away.

Doerner stalks Draco and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Draco's face. Draco staggers backwards, shaken.
Draco throws a solid leg kick but Doerner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Draco.
Helmut Doerner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Draco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doerner moves away.
Doerner lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Draco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Doerner manages to avoid it.
Doerner misses with a double jab.
A head kick misses from Doerner.
Draco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Doerner.
Doerner doesn't manage to clinch there - Draco circles away.
Draco is looking to wear down Doerner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Doerner throws the left hand but Draco avoids the punch easily.
Doerner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Draco sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Doerner throws a wild body kick that Draco sees coming a mile off.

Draco wants to slow Doerner down by chopping away at his legs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Draco bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Doerner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Draco wants to get back to striking at distance but Doerner won't allow it.
Draco is trying to push Doerner away but Doerner has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Draco tries a body shot but Doerner blocks it.
Draco is struggling to control the position.

Doerner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Draco throws out a leg kick but Doerner moves out of range and Draco only half commits.
Doerner fails with the takedown.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Doerner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Draco throws a leg kick but Doerner sees it coming and moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Doerner tries to clinch there but Draco circles away.

and Doerner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Draco tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Doerner is able to avoid easily.

Doerner scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Doerner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Draco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Doerner.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Draco sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Doerner's guard.

Draco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Draco is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Doerner sees it coming and defends easily.

Draco is keen to just control but Doerner is a slippery customer.

Draco is stalling here. Doerner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Draco seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Doerner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Doerner goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Draco rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Doerner's guard! Nice work there by Draco!

Doerner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Draco manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Doerner has Draco in his guard.
Draco postures up in Doerner's guard and throws a big left but Doerner blocks it.

Draco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doerner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Draco lands a couple of digs.
Draco trying to control the position from guard on top but Doerner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maraco Draco overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Draco prevents Doerner from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Draco throws a front kick aimed at Doerner's knee but Doerner avoids it well.
Draco throws a solid leg kick but Doerner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Draco.

Doerner moves in looking to clinch but Draco pushes him off.
Draco walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Doerner checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Nice uppercut there from Doerner.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Doerner, as that shot connected.
Doerner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Draco tries to avoid it but Doerner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Draco to the ground. Draco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Draco tries to work over Doerner's front leg with a kick but Doerner checks it.
Doerner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Doerner is trying to force a seperation but Draco has the dominant position.
Doerner throws a punch but it's blocked by Draco.

Draco looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Doerner tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Draco avoids it.
Doerner is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Draco is defending well for now.

Draco winds up and cracks Doerner with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Doerner is looking to improve his position.
Draco is nestled in close to Doerner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Draco connects with a nice short shot to Doerner's temple.

Draco takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
