Williams is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alice In Chains - Rooster. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dan Gable!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Williams!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gable lands a nice looking body kick.
Nice sprawl there from Williams as Gable shoots in.
Gable tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Williams scores with a jab. Gable acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Gable checks the leg kick.
Gable throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gable uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Williams.
Gable throws a body kick that misses.
Gable goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Gable uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Williams.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gable lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Williams has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Williams and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Horrible takedown by Gable or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.
Gable just misses with a punch to the body.
A big left from Williams misses.
Dan Gable seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams cracks a nice hook into Gable's ribs.

The fighters circle momentarily. Williams darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gable scores with a hook.
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gable fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gable looks to land a body kick but Williams moved away.

Gable takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Williams slips a straight right by Gable.
Gable shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Gable lands a jab.
Gable moves away from the strike by Williams.

Williams scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gable in his tracks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams lands a jab to Gable's midsection.
Gable throws a half hearted mid kick.
Williams thows a body shot but no joy.
Williams avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A bone on bone clash there as Gable blocks the leg kick.
Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Williams scores with the left hand. Gable knows he should have avoided that one.
A telegraphed right hand from Gable misses the target.
Williams misses with a straight right.
Gable throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gable closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Williams did well to prevent Gable getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Williams slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Williams is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gable postures up.
Gable is working Williams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gable looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gable keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gable looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.

Dan Gable has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Gable misses with a body kick.
Williams misses with a low kick.
Williams has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gable.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gable.
Gable is looking to wear down Williams with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gable tries a head kick but it misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Williams counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Gable will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

BAM! Williams delivers a spinning backfist that drops Gable like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
