Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven de Pina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rising Dawn kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for de Pina.
de Pina scores with a nice strike.
Lei shoots for a double leg takedown but de Pina sprawls well. He's pushed Lei's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
de Pina lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Chan Lei has been cut.
Lei has his takedown stuffed
and de Pina counters with a straight right hand.
Lei has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from de Pina.
Lei's hands are dropping dangerously low here and de Pina connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lei scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lei shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has de Pina pinned against the cage. de Pina gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Steven de Pina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chan Lei.

and de Pina connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Lei is rocked!
de Pina fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lei.
Lei is still on wobbly legs! Can de Pina finish him?
Lei has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from de Pina finds it's way round the side to connect with Lei's head.
Crack! de Pina connects with the perfect overhand right and Lei falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for de Pina!

After the fight, Steven de Pina was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
