And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Smith!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lovell counters with a head kick.
Lovell throws a leg kick which misses Smith's front leg but catches the back leg as Smith tries to avoid it.
Lovell scores with a spinning back kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith tries to clinch up.
Lovell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lovell throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Lovell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lovell as he jumps to the side.
Lovell throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Smith looks gassed!
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
Brayden Lovell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Smith.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lovell. That's going to slow Smith down.

Lovell lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Lovell takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Smith is rocked!

It looks like David Smith has been cut.
Lovell and Smith are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Lovell throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Smith into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Lovell knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
