And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Del Estep!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estep leaves Price with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Price shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Estep sprawls well. Estep wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Price gets slowly back to his feet.
Estep doesn't manage to clinch there - Price circles away.
Price pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Estep shoots in for a double leg but Price sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Estep is trying hard to land a takedown here. Price sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Price shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Estep manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Price wants to control from the top but Estep keeps moving.

Price seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Price has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Price's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Price fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Estep, pushing him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Price has hold of Estep's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Estep manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Estep tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Estep is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Price grinds an elbow into Estep's temple.
Price working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Price wants to finish this one by submission but Estep is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Price.

Estep tries to lock up and control but Price gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Del Estep has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Price has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Estep's face.
Estep is trying to escape the mount.
Estep is trying to escape the mount but Price keeps good control and instead manages to take Estep's back.

Price doesn't have the hooks in and Estep manages to turn into his guard.
