Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Hagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derrick Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Hagan!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hagan tries to clinch up
and Ryan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Derrick Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan throws a sloppy head kick and Hagan moves out of range easily.
Hagan tries to clinch up but Ryan circles away and keeps his distance.

so Ryan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ryan prevents Hagan from getting back to his feet.
Hagan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ryan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hagan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ryan has Hagan in his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Derrick Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Hagan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hagan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hagan has managed to get both his arms back between Ryan's legs - danger averted.

Ryan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hagan was covering up waiting for the punch and Ryan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
