Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector DeLuca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat McGroin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pat McGroin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hector DeLuca's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from McGroin misses.
McGroin throws a hook to the side of DeLuca's head but DeLuca sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jab, jab by McGroin - just one landing.
DeLuca moves out of range of the strikes.
A lazy left from McGroin finds it's target.
McGroin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGroin cracks DeLuca with a right hand to the side of the head.

McGroin cracks DeLuca with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! DeLuca looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McGroin finish him?
DeLuca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McGroin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
DeLuca changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGroin tries to avoid it but DeLuca manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGroin to the ground. McGroin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

DeLuca uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGroin.
DeLuca tries to clinch up.
McGroin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but DeLuca was well out of range. Poor timing from McGroin.
DeLuca steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGroin.
DeLuca is looking to clinch.
McGroin misses with a shot to the body

and DeLuca counters by clinching up.
McGroin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
DeLuca misses with the head strike.

McGroin manages to break the clinch.
DeLuca has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
McGroin throws a nice looking combination but DeLuca bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

McGroin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
DeLuca misses with a few strikes there.
The fight stays on the outside here - DeLuca looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
DeLuca avoids the head kick by McGroin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
DeLuca tries to clinch there but McGroin circles away.

DeLuca closes the distance and clinches.
McGroin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
DeLuca tries for a takedown but McGroin manages to get underhooks.

DeLuca misses with a punch on the inside.

DeLuca manages to break the clinch.
DeLuca keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
DeLuca looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGroin is fending him off so far but DeLuca persists. Nope, McGroin circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector DeLuca. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGroin misses with a few strikes there.
McGroin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits DeLucas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
DeLuca tries to clinch up but McGroin circles away and keeps his distance.
McGroin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Good standup being displayed there by McGroin as he connects with a hook.
McGroin throws a shot to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
DeLuca slips a straight right by McGroin.
The crowd cheers as McGroin lands an impressive looking overhand right. DeLuca doesn't seem phased though.
Sloppy strikes from DeLuca. Those never looked like landing.
McGroin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
DeLuca tries to clinch up but McGroin circles away and keeps his distance.
DeLuca tries to close the distance and clinch but McGroin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McGroin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Pat McGroin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
DeLuca tries to clinch there but McGroin circles away.
McGroin looks to land a combination but DeLuca avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McGroin lands with a straight right. DeLuca didn't see that one coming.
McGroin throws a lazy right hand but DeLuca sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pat McGroin seems to be getting the better of the standup.

McGroin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends DeLuca sprawling to the canvas! DeLuca rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McGroin finish him?!

DeLuca is rocked!
McGroin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
DeLuca fails with a takedown attempt.
Oh DeLuca is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGroin fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks DeLuca square on the jaw! Damn, DeLuca is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
