Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Endo Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ji Ngyuen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ji Ngyuen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Endo Hattori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ji Ngyuen!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ngyuen throws the kick towards the body but Hattori avoids it.
Hattori throws a series of punches but Ngyuen moves out of range.
Ngyuen tries to clinch there but Hattori circles away.
Ngyuen is looking to clinch.

Ngyuen moves into the clinch.
Hattori can't get the takedown.
Ngyuen stops a takedown attempt from Hattori.

Ngyuen breaks the clinch.
Ngyuen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hattori fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Endo Hattori. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ngyuen gets a clinch.

Ngyuen gets control of Hattori's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ngyuen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hattori accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hattori has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ngyuen working a defensive guard here.
Ngyuen looking for a sweep. Not yet Ngyuen, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ngyuen pulls Hattori in close to prevent any damage.
Ngyuen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hattori controlling from the top position.
Ngyuen thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hattori has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ngyuen is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hattori shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ngyuen pinned against the cage. Ngyuen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ngyuen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hattori, pushing him back against the cage.

Ngyuen drags the fight down to the ground.

Ngyuen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hattori defends well.
Hattori stops Ngyuen from standing up.
Hattori trying to control but Ngyuen is working from the bottom.
Hattori throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ngyuen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hattori postures up.
Hattori working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hattori throwing strikes but missing.
Ngyuen wants to control but Hattori passes easily into half guard.

Hattori throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ngyuen tries to roll over but Hattori keeps him under control.
Hattori works his way into side control.
Hattori looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ngyuen is avoiding damage well.
Ngyuen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hattori. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ngyuen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hattori.
Hattori scores with a couple of short elbows.
Hattori lands a nice forearm strike.

Hattori decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ngyuen to his feet.
Hattori shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ngyuen sprawls well. Ngyuen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hattori gets slowly back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ngyuen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ngyuen throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hattori uses it to pass to side control.
Hattori is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Endo Hattori dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hattori will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hattori shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ngyuen as he jumps to the side.

Ngyuen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ngyuen lands in his opponent's guard.
Hattori has Ngyuen pulled in close to control his posture.
Ngyuen postures up in Hattori's guard and throws a big left but Hattori blocks it.

Ngyuen wants to stand and escape but instead Hattori has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Hattori is looking to work some ground and pound but Ngyuen has wrist control.

Hattori seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ngyuen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
