The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wack is looking to clinch.
Mckenzie misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Wack counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mckenzie thinking.
Wack tries to clinch but Mckenzie moves out of range.
Mckenzie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wack.

Wack gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mckenzie to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mckenzie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mckenzie has managed to get both his arms back between Wack's legs - danger averted.

Mckenzie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wack's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mckenzie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mckenzie connects with a nice short shot to Wack's temple.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mckenzie lands a nice short elbow.

Mckenzie uses his free foot to push down on Wack's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wack.
