The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meetz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jones on his heels. He'll look to pass Jones's guard now, I'm sure.
Meetz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Meetz trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Meetz stands up from Jones's guard - Meetz perhaps looking for a knockout.
Meetz misses with a straight right.
A thudding body kick lands there by Meetz!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Meetz rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Meetz lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Meetz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Meetz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Meetz turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Meetz is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jones is trying to escape and Meetz transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jones is forced to tap! Nice work there by Meetz! Very nice indeed!
