Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pillu Haukka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Vegh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegh has chosen Linkin Park- The catalyst as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arnold Vegh!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Haukka.
Vegh takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Haukka lands a really nice looking cross but Vegh seems unphased.
Haukka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vegh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haukka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vegh somewhat.
Vegh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by Vegh or perhaps it was just good defense by Haukka which made him look bad.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Haukka enables Vegh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Haukka manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Haukka is pressed up against the cage. Vegh has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Haukka down to the mat. Haukka avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Haukka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vegh pulls Haukka in close to prevent any damage.
Haukka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Haukka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vegh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Haukka, into his guard.
Haukka on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Haukka tries to get out of the position.
Vegh throws an elbow that misses. Haukka uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vegh's guard. Nice move by Haukka!

Haukka gets caught flat footed, as Vegh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vegh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Vegh passes Haukka's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Haukka tries to kick Vegh off but Vegh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Vegh thows a huge punch but Haukka dodges it nicely.
Vegh with the ground and pound but Haukka uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Haukka wants to get back to his feet but Vegh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vegh stands and throws Haukka's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Vegh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vegh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vegh is staying tight to Haukka's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Arnold Vegh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Arnold Vegh.

Pillu Haukka spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
