Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nintendo Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Just (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takada comes to the cage accompanied by Super Mario Bros Theme Soundtrack . Just has chosen Intriguing Possibilities- Trent Reznor as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nintendo Takada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Just!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Just on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takada. Takada obviously looking to wear him down.
Just throws out a loose jab but Takada uses good head movement to avoid it.
Takada thows a body shot but no joy.
Just lands a jab to the nose.
Good shot there by Takada.
Just throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Takada fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Just is out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Takada.
Nintendo Takada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takada connects with an inside leg kick.
Takada fails with the takedown.

Just scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Takada tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Just misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Takada can't escape the position.
Just misses with some ground and pound and Takada recovers position to half guard.

Takada is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Takada seems keen to control Just's posture.
Just won't allow Takada to sweep him here.

Just with a flurry of punches that miss.
Takada pulls Just in close to his closed guard and prevents Just from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nintendo Takada.

Takada throws a nice inside leg kick.

Takada fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Just sprawls well initially but Takada persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Takada fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Just avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Takada scoring well with a low kick there.
Takada leaves Just with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Takada shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Just pinned against the cage. Just gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Just just misses with a punch to the body.
Just misses with a straight right.
Just avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Takada shoots in but Just avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nintendo Takada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takada doesn't manage to clinch there - Just circles away.
Takada uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Just.
Takada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Just.

Just drives through and clinches with Takada against the cage.

Takada gets control of Just's arms and successfully pulls guard. Takada will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Takada avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Takada keeping moving, preventing Just from controlling successfully.
Just not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Takada has momentary wrist control but Just slips an elbow through the middle.

Nintendo Takada overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Just is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nintendo Takada just wasn't active enough.
Just keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Takada cracks Just with a right hand to the side of the head.
Just shoots for a takedown but Takada saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Takada takes a swing at Just's ribcage but misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Takada shoots in looking for a takedown. Just tries to sprawl out of it but Takada keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Just manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nintendo Takada will probably get the nod.

Just tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Takada manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Just is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Just is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Takada couldn't care less - he's delighted!
