Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Cahoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez comes to the cage accompanied by Why Try. Calvin Cahoon is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calvin Cahoon!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cahoon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Melendez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cahoon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Melendez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Melendez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cahoon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Melendez has managed to get both his arms back between Cahoon's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Melendez will probably get the nod.

Cahoon wants to clinch up but Melendez keeps it at a distance.

Melendez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
