Macarenco comes into the arena with Eye of the Tiger blaring out of the sound system. Rubiao Macarenco has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Macarenco, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Miller looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Miller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Macarenco is keeping the position for now.
Macarenco wants to stand but Miller is controlling the position.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Macarenco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miller sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Macarenco's guard.

Miller seems to be working for a kimura but Macarenco defends the submission attempt.

Macarenco is defending against the submission attempts here by Miller.
Miller wants to free his trapped foot but Macarenco is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Miller missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Miller is looking for a kimura but Macarenco is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miller to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller stops Macarenco from getting back to his feet.

Macarenco pushes Miller off looking to stand but Miller dives back in and keeps control.
Macarenco is not content to let Miller control the position.
Miller might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Macarenco kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
