Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Bertnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Severi Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suhonen has chosen Lentävä Kalakukko as his entrance music. Severi Suhonen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Severi Suhonen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suhonen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bertnar.
Bertnar shoots in and drives through. Suhonen sprawls well.
A combination from Suhonen does no damage.
Suhonen lands a head kick. Bertnar smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Maximo Bertnar has been cut.

Suhonen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Suhonen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bertnar fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bertnar fails with a takedown attempt.
Suhonen misses with a straight right.
Bertnar tries for a takedown but Suhonen circles away easily
and Suhonen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximo Bertnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bertnar is trying desperately to improve position.
Bertnar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suhonen on the ground.
Suhonen controlling the position easily from mount.
Bertnar manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Suhonen is keen to just control but Bertnar is a slippery customer.

Suhonen is looking for a kimura but Bertnar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Suhonen to get the leverage.

Suhonen is working for a kimura but Bertnar is defending it quite comfortably.
Suhonen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bertnar's head.
Bertnar wants to control but Suhonen is keeping busy.
Bertnar trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Suhonen manages to pass to mount!
Bertnar is working to get back to half guard.

Suhonen looking for a guillotine from mount but Bertnar is having none of it.

Suhonen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bertnar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Suhonen has control of Bertnar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bertnar regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Suhonen is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Bertnar is forced to tap! Great finish!

In his post fight interview, Severi Suhonen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
