The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Fitzmagic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fitzmagic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fitzmagic scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Thunder Jackson has been cut.
Fitzmagic will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fitzmagic throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Fitzmagic throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely.
Ryan Fitzmagic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fitzmagic shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jackson eats them both and turns towards Fitzmagic to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fitzmagic throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Fitzmagic is avoiding it.

Fitzmagic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fitzmagic throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.
Fitzmagic throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Fitzmagic misses with a few strikes there.

Fitzmagic shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackson is trying to defend but Fitzmagic finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fitzmagic is breathing heavily.
Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Fitzmagic is very close to passing his half guard.

Fitzmagic wants to get up but he can't break Jackson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jackson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fitzmagic kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.
Fitzmagic is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
