Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aleksander Emelianenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Black Coleman !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Aleksander Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Coleman has a takedown stuffed.
Emelianenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Coleman is looking to clinch but Emelianenko is avoiding it.
A slow jab from Emelianenko misses its intended target.
Coleman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Emelianenko throws a lazy right hand but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Coleman tries to clinch up but Emelianenko circles away and keeps his distance.
Coleman on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Coleman dives in and grabs Emelianenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Emelianenko pushes down on Coleman 's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Black Coleman . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coleman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Coleman moves out of range of the strikes.

Coleman closes the distance and clinches.

Coleman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Emelianenko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Coleman lands punches and elbows.
Emelianenko looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

Emelianenko is really stuck here.
Emelianenko is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Coleman off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Coleman punches the canvas rather than the man.
Coleman thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Emelianenko tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Emelianenko tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Emelianenko is desperately trying to improve his position but Coleman has a good base and remains in mount.
Coleman scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Emelianenko tries to hold on but Coleman pushes him away.

Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Coleman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Emelianenko looks a forlorn figure.
