Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Heero Yuy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kage Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuy comes to the cage accompanied by Coma Black - Marilyn Manson. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kage Chiba!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Yuy.
Yuy misses with a two punch combination.
Chiba dodges the punch combination from Yuy.
Heero Yuy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yuy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yuy wants it to stay on the feet.
Chiba circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chiba is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Yuy looks to land a combination but Chiba avoids it well.

Chiba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yuy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chiba is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yuy has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chiba wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yuy, who protects the arm well.

Yuy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chiba tries to free his leg and advance position but Yuy is retaining full guard.

Yuy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chiba blocks a head kick by Yuy.
Chiba shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yuy as he jumps to the side.

Heero Yuy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kage Chiba.

Yuy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Yuy throws a right hand that Chiba ducks under and follows up with a left that Chiba also avoids with ease.
Horrible takedown by Chiba or perhaps it was just good defense by Yuy which made him look bad.

Chiba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yuy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chiba drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yuy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chiba has Yuy in his guard.
Yuy postures up in Chiba's guard and throws a big left but Chiba blocks it.
Yuy wants to control from the top but Chiba keeps moving.
Yuy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Yuy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Yuy passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Chiba avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Yuy.
Kage Chiba has got the better of the ground game so far.
Yuy tries to move to mount but Chiba blocks the move with his legs.
Yuy is looking to take a break and control but Chiba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chiba is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Yuy still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Yuy has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Chiba postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yuy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chiba, into his guard.

I would just about give that final round to Kage Chiba.
