Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vintage Vodka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz's entrance music is Go To Sleep by Eminem feat. DMX, Obie Trice. A fine choice. Tiger Cruz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tiger Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vintage Vodka!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vodka misses with an uppercut.
Cruz walks into a straight right hand from Vodka.
Cruz takes one to the chin there.
Cruz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cruz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vodka moves away.
Cruz scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Vodka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cruz throws out the jab.
Vodka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cruz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Vodka shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vodka showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cruz tries to kick Vodka off but Vodka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vodka trying to control the pace.
Cruz is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Vodka lands with a punch from half guard.
Cruz regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Vodka.
Cruz controls Vodka momentarily but Vodka frees himself.
Vodka throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Cruz wants to stand but Vodka is controlling the position.
Vodka in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Vodka looking to pass the guard.
Vodka throws a big right hand that misses.
Vodka throws a big elbow that misses.
Vodka is working Cruz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Vodka slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Cruz is looking for a sweep.
Cruz takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Vodka cracks Cruz with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Vodka tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Vodka is looking to take a break and control but Cruz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cruz takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Cruz takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cruz wants to get back to his feet but Vodka drags him back down.
Vodka trying to control the action but Cruz is working from the bottom.
Cruz gets back to half guard.
Vodka with the ground and pound but Cruz uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Cruz is looking to stand up but Vodka isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vodka working some strikes from top position.
Vodka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cruz pulls Vodka in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vintage Vodka dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cruz loads up on a big right hand but Vodka slips the punch.
Vodka thumps Cruz with a low kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cruz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Vodka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vodka swings for the body but Cruz moves out of range.
Vintage Vodka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz blocks a low kick nicely.
Cruz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cruz. Vodka does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cruz misses with a body shot
and Vodka counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cruz's knee momentarily.
Cruz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Vodka closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Vodka trying to mount his opponent but Cruz defends it.
Cruz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Vodka is pressing down on Cruz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cruz is holding on for now.
Vodka is trying to control the action in half guard but Cruz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Vodka thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Vodka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Cruz wants to control but Vodka is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Vodka looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cruz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vodka seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Cruz tries to kick Vodka off but Vodka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Vintage Vodka has got the better of the ground game so far.

Vodka sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cruz defending well though.
Cruz is not content to let Vodka control the position.
Vodka tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cruz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Vodka throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cruz to regain full guard.
Vodka with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Vodka working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Vodka postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Vodka stands up over Cruz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cruz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Vodka working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cruz's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vodka missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cruz is trying to keep Vodka in close.
Cruz keeping moving, preventing Vodka from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vintage Vodka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Vodka delivers a nice body kick.
Vodka goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Cruz misses with a wild body shot.
Vodka circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Cruz drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Vodka follows Cruz to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vintage Vodka!
