The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberton slaps away a takedown attempt from Mike, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Aberton misses the jab.
Aberton cracks Mike with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mike tries for a takedown but Aberton circles away easily
and Aberton counters with a good low kick that Mike was not able to check.
Mike could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Aberton throws a right and a left that Mike avoids nicely.
Aberton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mike.
Mike gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Aberton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mighty Mike. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aberton tries a head kick but it misses.
Aberton throws a series of punches but Mike moves out of range.
Mike on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Mike doesn't succeed with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Aberton connects with a jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Aberton. That snapped Mike's head back.
Aberton scores with a spinning back kick!
Aberton is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Aberton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Klas Aberton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mike is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Aberton lands a big uppercut and Mike crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mike looks OK. Aberton waves Mike back to his feet!
Oh Mike is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mike slips a jab and a cross from Aberton.
Aberton misses with a looping right.
Mike seems to have got his legs back now.
Aberton is looking to land body kicks.

Aberton tests Mike's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mike has his takedown stuffed

and Aberton counters with a crisp right hand that drops Mike! Aberton lets Mike back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Mike drops his hands momentarily. Aberton doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Mike staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Mike doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
