Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Wigfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phil Anselmo looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Anselmo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Wigfield!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anselmo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Anselmo decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Anselmo wants to clinch

and Wigfield counters with a shoot takedown. Anselmo fights it but they end up in guard.

Wigfield gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Anselmo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wigfield's sensitive parts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anselmo slaps away a takedown attempt from Wigfield, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Anselmo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anselmo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wigfield is controlling him well.

Wigfield decides to stand back up.
Anselmo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wigfield moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Anselmo counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Wigfield has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Anselmo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Wigfield drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Anselmo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wigfield is trying to drag Anselmo to the mat but Anselmo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Anselmo lands an elbow inside that Wigfield shrugs off.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Anselmo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anselmo manages to break the clinch.
Anselmo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wigfield back to the cage. Anselmo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wigfield shoots in looking for a takedown but Anselmo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wigfield's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Anselmo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anselmo wants it to stay on the feet.

Anselmo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Anselmo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Anselmo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That was a close second round but I would say that Phil Anselmo will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Wigfield throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anselmo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wigfield is in Anselmo's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wigfield gets to his feet. Anselmo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Wigfield counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Anselmo!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wigfield is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Phil Anselmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A head kick from Anselmo lands but Wigfield takes it in his stride.

Wigfield drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anselmo crunches a lovely knee into Wigfield's ribcage.

Anselmo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

I would just about give that final round to Jamie Wigfield.
