The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maurer misses with a low kick.
Maurer slaps away a takedown attempt from Yang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Maurer lands with a slapping head kick.
Yang avoids a kick to the body.
Maurer cracks the inside of Yang's front leg.
Maurer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Yang.
Yang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Maurer lands a nice leg kick that just misses Yang's sensitive parts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
