Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Fensch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sheem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fensch comes to the cage accompanied by Waking the demon. Sheem has chosen Disturbed - Pain Redefined as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Fensch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Sheem!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheem misses with a body shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Fensch blocks the leg kick.
A jab from Fensch finds it's way through Sheem's defenses.

Fensch breaks the clinch.
Sheem clinches but Fensch breaks the clinch

and Fensch moves into the clinch.
Sheem wants a takedown but no success here.
Sheem wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fensch has hold of one of Sheem's legs. Sheem is fighting the takedown attempt but Fensch gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Fensch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sheem works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

and Fensch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sheem won't be happy with that.
Sheem is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Fensch is controlling him well.

Sheem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sheem thuds his shin into the meat of Fensch's side.

Fensch scores with a takedown into Sheem's guard.
Fensch wants to control from the top but Sheem keeps moving.
Fensch pushes down on Sheem's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sheem pushes Fensch off looking to stand but Fensch dives back in and keeps control.

Fensch creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Sheem takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Fensch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sheem with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fensch working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fensch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sheem with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fensch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
