Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aaron Fish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Money Maker!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fish has hold of Maker's hands but Maker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fish taking some punishment here, with Maker in his half guard.
Fish trying to control but Maker postures up.
Maker moves nicely into side control.
Maker working the head with strikes.
Check out the look on Maker's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Fish is trying to get back to half guard.
Fish dodges the ground and pound from Maker.
Fish wants to control but Maker postures up.

Fish tries to buck Maker off but Maker is having none of it.
Maker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

You can see the frustration on Fish's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Maker in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.


Fish is rocked!
Fish takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Oh Fish is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Maker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fish seems to have got his legs back now.
Maker working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Fish on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Fish is trying to control Maker's posture but Maker avoids it.
Maker looks up at the clock and then as Fish takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Maker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Maker cracks Fish with a big elbow.

Maker lands a few punches from side control.
Maker in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Fish is looking for a sweep.
Fish is breathing heavily.
Maker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Fish's legs.
Maker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fish down.
Maker tries to advance to mount but Fish denies him.
Maker fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Fish manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maker works his way to full guard. Good work.
Fish looking to pass the guard.

Maker has an active guard here but Fish has managed to pass into half guard.
Fish is pressing down on Maker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Maker is holding on for now.

Maker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Maker moves into full guard.
Maker trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Fish thows a big elbow that misses.
Fish trying to control the position from guard on top but Maker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fish is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A leg kick checked by Fish.
Fish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maker is fending him off so far but Fish persists. Nope, Maker circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maker lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Maker lands with a straight right. Fish didn't see that one coming.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Maker.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Money Maker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Maker lands a jab to the nose.

Maker closes the distance looking for a takedown. Fish stuffs it but Maker still has hold of him. Maker picks Fish up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Maker slams Fish to the floor and that's really hurt Fish - he doesn't know where he is! Maker throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Money Maker!
