The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Damphousse.
Creed misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Damphousse.
Creed bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Damphousse's head backwards.
Creed stuns Damphousse with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Damphousse uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Creed.

and Damphousse counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Creed's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

J.P. Damphousse has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Creed throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Creed shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Damphousse eats them both and turns towards Creed to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Creed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Damphousse at a distance.
Damphousse gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Creed, as that shot connected.
Creed throws out a loose jab but Damphousse uses good head movement to avoid it.

Creed has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Damphousse after a bit of a struggle.

Damphousse is trying to push Creed away but Creed has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Creed is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Damphousse can't fight it off and eventually Creed manages to take the fight to the floor. Damphousse looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Creed drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Damphousse manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Creed has Damphousse in his guard.
