PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derp The Troller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanly Winston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Troller closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Winston stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Troller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Winston is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Winston's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The Troller goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Winston is on top in guard.

Stanly Winston has got the better of the ground game so far.
Winston wants to control from the top but The Troller keeps moving.
The Troller can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Winston controls the pace.

The Troller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Winston can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Derp The Troller will probably get the nod.

Winston is trying to trip The Troller. He has hold of a leg but The Troller is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Winston persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The Troller had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Winston defends it easily.

The Troller quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Winston has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! In his post fight interview, Derp The Troller started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
