Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liam Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Conway told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liam Machin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Conway!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Some wild striking there from Machin.
Machin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Conway avoids the body shot from Machin.
Conway fails to land the takedown.
Conway throws a sloppy head kick and Machin moves out of range easily.
Machin missing with a left hand there. Conway was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Machin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Machin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Conway fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Machin manages to avoid it.
Machin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Machin.
Machin taking a breather.
Machin gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Machin jumps into guard, dragging Conway to the mat.
Machin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Conway throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Machin's body to avoid the submission. Machin has instead reached around Conway's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Machin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Liam Machin!
