Woodstock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Negreanu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Negreanu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Woodstock, who protects the arm well.
Woodstock tries to bench press Negreanu off him but Negreanu keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Negreanu lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Negreanu is looking to take a break and control but Woodstock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
