Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kean Denver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Spaten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spaten is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Knockin Boots by Candyman. Goran Spaten has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kean Denver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Goran Spaten!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spaten thuds a left hand into Denver's body.
Spaten takes a swing at Denver's ribcage but misses.
A punch combination from Spaten misses.
Denver tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spaten was well out of range. Poor timing from Denver.
Denver tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Denver fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spaten, pushing him back against the ropes.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Spaten's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Spaten looks to score with a jab to the body but Denver is just out of range.
Goran Spaten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Denver throws a right and a left that Spaten avoids nicely.
Denver circles away from the clinch attempt.
Spaten wants to clinch.
Denver misses with a takedown attempt
and Spaten counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Spaten breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Denver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Denver looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Spaten!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Spaten is bucking up trying to escape but Denver cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Denver takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Denver wants to stand but Spaten has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Denver is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Denver seems to be looking for submissions.
Spaten tries to kick Denver off but Denver keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Spaten really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Denver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Denver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Spaten kicks Denver off and gets back to his feet.
Spaten is looking to slow Denver down with leg kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spaten doesn't manage to clinch there - Denver circles away.
Denver pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Spaten back to the ropes. Denver follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Spaten decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Denver takes a kick to the side of the head.

Denver rushes Spaten and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Spaten is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
