PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Connell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adelphos Typhon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adelphos Typhon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Desmond Connell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adelphos Typhon!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Typhon walks into a jab.
Typhon looks to throw the jab but Connell is out of range.
Desmond Connell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Connell. Typhon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Typhon slips a jab and a cross from Connell.
Connell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Typhon lands a jab to the head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Typhon. That's going to slow Connell down.
Connell avoids a punch combination nicely.

Connell cracks Typhon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Connell has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Typhon to stand back up!

Typhon is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Connell gets in close and tags Typhon with a short punch that almost sends Typhon to the mat! Oh Typhon is in big trouble! He turns his back on Connell, trying to create some distance but Connell rushes him, striking wildly and Typhon goes down! The referee tackles Connell into the ropes to end the fight! Connell is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Desmond Connell!
