Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Charyak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Check Mong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charyak comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem-Won't Back Down. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mong's choice of entrance music: I ain't never scared. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Check Mong!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mong wants it to stay on the feet.
Charyak looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mong wants to control from the top but Charyak keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mong stands up over Charyak, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mong with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mong makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mong cracks Charyak with a solid left hand.
Mong scoring with punches to the head and body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mong scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Charyak working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mong.
Mong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mong trying to control the position from guard on top but Charyak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mong controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mong tries to free his leg and advance position but Charyak is retaining full guard.
Mong is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Check Mong wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mong misses with a double jab
and Charyak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Charyak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mong pinned against the cage. Mong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mong scores with a nice head shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Mong misses the target.
Charyak takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Charyak defending well as Mong loads up on a big left hand.
Charyak takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mong throws a series of punches but Charyak avoids them all with ease.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mong sizes up Charyak with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mong looks to land a left hand but Charyak moved out of range nicely.
Mong connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Craig Charyak has been cut.
Charyak blocks a low kick nicely.
A punch lands to the side of Charyak 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mong lands the left hand.
Charyak is rocked!
Mong circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Charyak to the canvas! Charyak doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mong keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Check Mong!
Check Mong bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
